15 Yard Dumpster Rental in Absecon, NJ, the Middle Size That Solves a Lot
More room than a 10 yard, a shorter footprint than a 20 yard, and a comfortable fit for basements, decks, and mid-size remodels.
A size between compact and full scale
The 15 yard roll-off fills the gap between the small 10 yard container and the popular 20 yard. It holds fifteen cubic yards of material, roughly four to five pickup truck loads. Dimensions vary by manufacturer, but a typical 15 yard container is about 14 to 16 feet long, 7.5 feet wide, and a little over 4 feet tall. That makes it long enough for bulky debris while still fitting on most residential driveways.
Homeowners in Absecon, NJ often choose this size when a 10 yard feels too tight but a 20 yard seems like more container than the project needs. Typical jobs include a basement cleanout, a medium deck removal, flooring replacement across two rooms, or a kitchen update that keeps the existing layout.

Balancing volume and weight
Because it sits between the smaller and larger sizes, the 15 yard handles mixed loads well. You can combine light items such as cabinets, drywall, and packaging with a moderate amount of heavier material like tile. For large quantities of concrete, dirt, or brick, weight still becomes the limit, so share the amount and we will confirm whether this size or a 10 yard makes more sense.
Every quote includes the rental period, the weight allowance, and the charge for tonnage above it. When you describe the debris fully, including hidden weight such as wet carpet padding or plaster walls, we can recommend a size that avoids surprises on the final invoice.
Planning placement and loading
Leave room for the container plus space for the truck to approach and tilt its bed. A straight, level driveway with no low wires or branches overhead is ideal. On delivery day, move vehicles aside and mark the spot where you want the container. Load large, flat items first along the floor, then fill gaps with smaller debris. Keep everything below the top rim, and keep restricted items like paint cans, batteries, and tires out of the load. If the project grows, a swap for a fresh container is a phone call away.
Deciding between 15 and 20 yards
The 15 yard sits in a useful middle spot, and the most common question is whether to step up to a 20. If your project covers one or two rooms, a deck, or a moderate cleanout, the 15 usually fits with room to spare. If you are clearing several rooms, replacing flooring throughout the home, or dealing with a lot of bulky furniture, the extra capacity of a 20 yard can prevent a mid-project swap. Describe the scope and we will talk through both options before you book.

Questions we hear about this service
How do I choose between a 15 and 20 yard?
If your debris is mostly light and bulky and you are unsure, the 20 yard gives more margin. If you have moderate weight or a short driveway, the 15 yard is often the better fit.
Will a 15 yard fit on my driveway?
Most residential driveways can hold it. Share the driveway length and any slope, and we will confirm.
Can I put roofing shingles in a 15 yard?
A small, single-layer roof section may fit. Shingles are heavy, so tell us the square count and layers first.
What happens if I exceed the weight allowance?
Weight above the allowance is billed at the overage rate shown on your quote.
